Teen Therapy
Young people may be dealing with anxiety, low mood, friendship difficulties, family changes, academic pressure, questions about identity, or simply a sense that things feel harder than they used to. I offer a private, supportive space to make sense of what is happening, feel more understood, and talk openly without judgment or pressure.
Having space to explore these experiences can help young people develop a clearer sense of themselves, understand their needs and emotions more fully, and feel more confident in how they navigate relationships and difficult situations. Over time, this can support greater self-understanding, stronger communication and a more secure sense of who they are.
My Approach
I work with teenagers in a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative way, taking time to build trust and allowing the work to move at a pace that feels manageable for them. Working with young people has given me an insight into the social, academic and emotional pressures that can be part of teenage life, and the value of having a space where they can speak openly and feel understood
I aim to build a relationship that feels genuine, respectful, and easy to engage with. I am interested in what matters to each person, how they experience their world, and what helps them feel understood. Some people arrive with a clear idea of what they want to talk about, while others need time for things to emerge.
Where helpful, I can also introduce practical strategies for managing overwhelming emotions, anxiety, difficult thoughts or challenging situations. The balance will be different for each person: sometimes the work is about finding ways to cope with what is happening now, and sometimes it is about understanding more deeply what lies behind it.

“I actually looked forward to coming, which I didn’t expect. I was having a really hard time at school and felt overwhelmed by everything. I could talk about things without feeling judged or like I was being told what to do. It helped me understand myself better, things started to feel more manageable, and over time things at school got better too.”
